1958-1963 studied at the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology of Comenius University in Bratislava

Despite good studying results and repeated applications he was not allowed to continue his studies because of the interventions of the Communist state power into the life of the Church.

1971-1982 without state approval, out of pastoral work, work as a tractor driver and later as a truck driver.
1982-1990 Parish administrator of Turčiansky Peter
1990, February 14 ordained a bishop
